Return/Repair Info

Since 1943, EDL’s Service Department has been dedicated to extending the life cycle of your instruments and sensors.  We pride ourselves in the skill and ability to offer repair and calibration services on all of our products.  EDL strives to keep the instrument repair and calibration process as simple and stress free as possible.  Our 75 years of expertise allows us to repair our products in addition to many of our competitors' products- efficiently and economically. Please read below for instructions on how to send your instruments and/or sensors in for service. We will always give an honest and fair assessment, even if that means repairs may not be the most cost effective solution.  We won’t try to sell you repairs you don’t need – that is not what we are here for.  We are here to give you superior service, maintenance advice, and honest opinions from the experts.  We look forward to working with you!

Many repairs may be avoided by simply changing the battery (when applicable). We recommend trying to replace the battery before sending the instrument in for servicing; it may be that a new battery restores the instrument to its proper working condition. 

  • No RA is necessary.
  • Please be sure the returned items are sent to us in a corrugated container, with ample packing to protect against further damage during transit.
  • Please label the outside of the package “FRAGILE, HANDLE WITH CARE.” Insure the package for the full purchase price value; EDL does not accept responsibility for damage or loss during shipping.   
  • Inside the package, include your complete contact information, i.e. contact name, company name, return shipping address, valid phone number(s), e-­-mail address(s), and a short note explaining the nature of your problem.  In many instances, the information you provide is helpful in quickly and easily restoring the instrument to optimum performance, which saves you time and money! 
  • With Metrology repairs and recalibrations, please contact our Service Team (434.799.0807, service@edl-inc.com) before returning the product to our facility. 


Claims Returns
All claims for shortage, damaged, or material defects must be made within 10 days from the date of receipt of merchandise. Claims must specify EDL’s invoice number and date. No merchandise should be returned without authorization and must be issued a Return Authorization Number (RA#).

TEMPERATURE MEASUREMENT EQUIPMENT:

 

If a return is necessary, a return authorization number is required.  Please contact our service department at service@edl-inc.com or 434.799.0807 to obtain the RMA number. 

 

For repairs, no RMA is necessary.  In an effort to keep the repair process as easy as possible, you do not need to contact EDL for prior authorization.  Send your instruments and sensors, well packaged, in to us for evaluation and repair.  Please be sure to include your complete contact information inside the box with your instruments and sensors.  Typical turnaround time for repairs is 10 days.  It is critical that we have your e-mail and phone number in order to contact you after the evaluation has been completed.

 For Nervo-Scope® Repairs:

As the original manufacturer of the Nervo-Scope® and Analagraph Chiropractic instruments, we offer complete repair and calibration services for both our products and those of other manufacturers.

 

Note:

* All Nervo-Scope® sales are final and returns cannot be accepted.

* EDL manufactures the Nervo-Scope® however we are not able to provide instructions on how to use the scope.

* Beginning 2015, in an effort to keep repair times to a minimum, all minor repairs under $300.00 are automatically repaired upon inspection/evaluation; without prior authorization.  We will contact you for payment after repairs are complete.

* More in depth repairs exceeding $300.00 will require authorization prior to the repairs being completed.  We will contact you to request authorization and pre-payment

* Any property not claimed within 60 days of the date the repairs are quoted become the property of EDL. 

* If you request a quick turnaround and we rush your repair, the instrument will be repaired regardless of cost and without prior authorization, in these instances we will contact you after the repairs are completed.

*Payment is required prior to the return shipment of any repair.
